Mr Watson is a graduate of Queen’s University of Belfast and University of Ulster, Jordanstown, Belfast. He began his engineering career in 1995 and since then he has gained significant experience at senior levels in manufacturing engineering and has authored numerous technical reports and courses in the area of industrial robotics, die casting technologies and production planning and scheduling. Since 2004 he has lectured in Computer Aided Engineering with industrial robotics specialism and has gained a vast experience in the authoring, development and delivery of a large range of industrial robotics courses for major industrial organisations and has worked as an engineering consultant contractor on numerous industrial robotics development and improvement projects. He has spent considerable time with industrial robot manufacturers, integrators and industrial end users on both online and offline robot systems within the automotive, aerospace and general engineering industries.

In addition to his industrial engineering experience he currently serves as a subject editor (engineering) specialist and has authored numerous engineering courses for online education providers where he also acts as an online tutor engineering and science courses. He also serves on the steering committee of the SUSA (Study USA) programme funded by the British Council.
