Course Outline
Airport aviation forecasting is used to provide airports with an estimate of the number of passengers that will use the airport facilities at some point in the future. Using this information, airports can determine if additional capacity for any growth in the volume of passengers.
Airport aviation activity forecasting provides a calculated estimate of the number of passengers that will pass through the airport at some point in the future. Forecasts are generally performed beyond 20 years into the future. The course materials are based solely on the Transportation Research Boards Engineer Manual “Airport “Aviation Activity Forecasting” as found on the website of the Transportation Research Boards.This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
