Course Outline
This course discusses the Mississippi’s Standards of Practice for Surveying and Minimum Standard Detail Requirements for ALTA/ACSM Land Title Surveys adopted by the American Land Title Association, American Congress on Surveying & Mapping and National Society of Professional Surveyors. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.

Course Backgroud
Professional Surveyors licensed in Mississipi must earn a minimum of 2 PDH in Minimum Standards for Land Surveying (MS) during three renewal periods. The Minimum Standards of Land Surveying applied to all survey plats performed in Mississippi from 1991 to June 30, 2005 (Rule 21). On July 1, 2005, new standards became effective, the Standards of Practice for Surveying (revised Rule 21). This new standards was revised in 2015, and become effective on August 1, 2015.
