This two-hour online course is only an introduction to one of the most important aspects of the HVAC - Practical Basic Calculations tailored for engineers, technicians, students, beginners, contractors and professionals interested in sizing HVAC equipment.

Learning Objective
At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Understand the formulae and parameters used in the ASHRAE Standards as an authority on HVAC design;
- Understand the formulae and parameters used for HVAC to determine the minimum required conditions and flow process;
- Understand the common terms used for dimensioning Air Handling Units, Compressors, Chillers, Fans and Ducts in the system;
- Be able to learn and recognize heat, work, force, energy, power and other technical terms;
- Know the basic comprehension of the terms used in thermodynamics and HVAC calculations and to remember some technical concepts; and
- Be able of converting metric and imperial units used in HVAC calculations.
Intended Audience
This course is intended for students, designers, mechanical engineers and professionals interested or working with HVAC, Process Plants, Piping, Cooling Towers and Compressors.

Attendee of this course will be able to understand, calculate, specify and plan an HVAC system assembly.
