PDHonline Course Provider Biography
Mr. Hughes is a graduate of the University of Illinois, Champagne/Urbana in Illinois. He is a licensed Engineer and has the distinction of working for consulting firms as a design engineer, a large Chicago Suburban municipality as a City Engineer and a Construction Company as a Project Manager.
Mr. Hughes has experienced all sides of the engineering field and has been involved in numerous challenging projects throughout the Chicago area. He has designed managed and built watermains, storm sewers, sanitary sewers, transportation capacity improvements, urban streetscape beautification projects, fountains and parks and even a clocktower.
He has been able to experience the aspects of engineering involvement from all different sides and has an in depth understanding of what clients look for from a design and construction standpoint. He knows the capabilities of design firms and how they approach a project and finally he served in the trenches running projects for a contracting firm and understands the nuances of field construction and what it takes to get something built.
With over twenty years of experience he wants to share what he has learned with others so they can learn from his mistakes and successes.
