Mr. Chen is a licensed Professional Engineer in several states, and forensic engineer. Mr. Chen has been a forensic engineer for a major technology firm for over 7 years investigating cases involving fire, cause, and origin; motor vehicle accident reconstruction; construction equipment; product liabilities; industrial incidents; aviation; and premises liabilities. Mr. Chen is a Certified Fire and Explosion Investigator (CFEI) by the National Association of Fire Investigators (NAFI), an Accreditation Commission for Traffic Accident Reconstruction (ACTAR) certified reconstruction, a JLG Certified Aerial Lift and Fork Lift Trainer, OSHA 30 certified in the General Industry, OSHA 10 certified in the Construction Industry, and a certified Crash Data Retrieval Analyst.
Prior to his current employment, Mr. Chen worked at Pratt & Whitney for eleven years on military jet engines in design, manufacturing, development and flight test, component testing, analytical engineering with increasing growth in responsibility to Senior Engineer; Integrated Product Team leader of the F135 Lightening II TEC, MEC, Augmentor; and Certified Cost Account Manager (CAM).
Mr. Chen has a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology with a thesis in Tribology, the study of friction lubrication and wear.
