Mr. Goans is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states. Mr. Goans began his engineering career in 2000 immediately after graduation. Since then he has gained significant experience in all aspects of power system engineering. He routinely provides guidance for challenging power system protection and grounding system problems for clients across the United States. He has been requested to provide expert testimony with regard to power system performance. Mr. Goans has authored or reviewed power system analysis reports encompassing system impact studies, arc flash studies, system protection studies and grounding remediation studies to name a few. He is viewed as a subject matter expert for all aspects of power system protection.
