PDHonline Course Provider Biography
Owete S. Owete holds a doctoral degree in Petroleum Engineering from Stanford University and M.S. and B.S. from Louisiana State University. A multidisciplinary engineering professional with 20 years of combined teaching, research, consulting and regulatory experience, Dr. Owete has directed large-scale environmental engineering services, permitting and remediation contracts with government agencies (e.g., NASA/United Space Alliance, USCOE) and the private sector. He is currently a Professional Engineer Coordinator at the State of Florida Department of Environmental Protection. He reviews engineering designs for petroleum site remediation; determines and negotiates site rehabilitation funding allocations for sites with multiple discharges; and provides technical assistance, consulting and training.
