Did you know that more than 50% of all the roads in the US and more than 90% of all the roads in the world are unpaved? This course presents information on gravel road maintenance and design for the benefit of engineers, contractors, planners, managers, and grader operators. The contents cover routine maintenance and rehabilitation, drainage, surface gravel, dust control/stabilization, and innovations. The course materials are based entirely on the Federal Highway Administration publication: Gravel Roads Maintenance and Design Manual. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
