This course will provide a basic background knowledge of the history, development and purpose of access management. It will review the Access Management Classification System. The requirements for driveway connections will be discussed. Median design as they relate to conflict points will be covered. Signal spacing requirements will be addressed. Driveway design will cover geometrics, placement and throat length.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
