Ozone-depleting substances (ODS), in the form of refrigerants, are utilized in a host of industrial and commercial equipment such as chillers, refrigeration units, air conditioners, ice makers and water coolers. ODS emissions from stationary refrigeration and air conditioning systems are subject to stringent U.S EPA air quality regulations. It is crucial for facility owners and operators to be aware of the existing requirements and be prepared to implement upcoming requirements effective on January 1, 2018 and January 1, 2019, all of which are designed to protect and restore the Earth’s fragile ozone layer.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
