Earthquakes are more likely to occur in some parts of the world than others. When buildings are constructed in areas where seismic activity is likely to occur the building codes and standards require seismic bracing of electrical equipment. The selection and specification of products for installation of electrical equipment in seismic zones requires some basic understanding of how the installation of this equipment needs to be implemented.
This course is based on the document Installing Seismic Restraints for Electrical Equipment, FEMA 413/December 2004.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
