This 4-hour course covers concept of using biomass as a fuel source for electric power generation. The course reviews the types of biomass that can be used as fuel and the availability of the fuel supply. The methods to convert the biomass to a usable fuel are discussed as well as the issues of generating power with biomass. The environmental benefits, and costs, of using biomass as fuel source are also discussed.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
