This course is divided into three volumes. Volume I described the systems engineering process and included an overview of system engineering and delves into requirements analysis, functional analysis, design synthesis, verification, and process outputs. Volume II explains the analysis and control functions of system engineering which includes work breakdown structures, configuration management, technical reviews, trade studies, modeling, metrics and risk management. Volume III discusses system engineering planning, organizing, integration, and contractual considerations for large projects.
This 3-hour course covers issues integral to the conduct of a systems engineering effort, from planning to consideration of broader management issues.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
