This 8-hour course is concerned with the requirements for power transformer application. The course covers IEEE Std C57.12.10- 2017 Requirements for Liquid-Immersed Power Transformers and is intended to be used as a basis for performance, interchangeability, and safety of the equipment covered, and to assist in the proper selection of such equipment. The course covers certain electrical, dimensional, and mechanical characteristics of 50 Hz and 60 Hz liquid-immersed power transformers and autotransformers.
The intent of the course is to have the student read the standard that covers the requirements for power transformer application. Contractors and facility owners can use this information as a basis for performance, interchangeability, and safety of the equipment covered. This is a practical way to receive continuing educational credits for reading and understanding the content of this important industry standard.
