This four hour course is the second volume of a two-volume series on Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). The first volume described the basics of VFDs. Volume I provided a broad introduction to VFDs and the electric motor designs, explained the benefits of VFDs, and provided a detailed examination of VFD theory. This volume is a continuation of Volume I and describes the installation and reliability considerations for VFDs, as well as a detailed analysis of troubleshooting and diagnostics. Chapter One covers installation and reliability issues. Chapter Two provides detailed coverage of troubleshooting and diagnostics. For the best understanding of VFDs, these two courses should be taken in sequence.
