Almost everyone will experience disabilities at some point during his/her life. This course is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA). Besides the history of ADA and the accessibility requirements for building blocks, you will learn what constitutes a disability, who is a qualified individual with a disability, and what might be reasonable accommodations for a disabled individual. In addition, you will become familiar with the seven principles of Universal Design and learn how to apply them to meet the ADA requirements for commercial facilities and public buildings.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials. All quiz questions are reviewed during the webinar. You are guaranteed to pass this quiz.
