This course discusses the next generation robots which are designed to be safe to work alongside and interact with humans, becoming part of the workplaces, hospitals and homes. The course content is taken from a National Academy of Sciences Report entitled: Frontiers of Engineering: Reports on Leading-Edge Engineering form the 2014 Symposium. The focus of the course is on the impact of collaborative robots on the development of self-driving vehicles, manufacturing and minimally invasive surgery.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
