In order for the United States Federal Government to buy supplies and services, the Federal Government must describe its needs. These needs are captured in various requirements documents issued with a Request for Quotation (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP). A RFQ and RFP are types of solicitations that the Federal Government uses to advise the public of proposed contract opportunities.
The intent of this course is to provide an introduction to the various types of requirements documents. While this course provides examples from the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), the concepts are applicable to other Federal agencies and to private industry.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
