Agentic AI — AI systems that plan, decide, and act toward a goal with minimal human intervention — is moving from research labs into everyday engineering practice. This 3-PDH course gives licensed Professional Engineers a clear, non-programmer's roadmap for evaluating, designing, piloting, and governing AI agents in engineering organizations. Starting from the fundamentals of AI and what makes agentic AI different, the course walks through identifying high-value use cases, managing technical and ethical risk, integrating AI into real design workflows through three worked case studies, measuring AI performance with KPIs, and building the policy and governance framework a firm needs to adopt AI responsibly. The course closes with an eight-step safe implementation action plan that participants can apply directly to their own organization.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
