Learning Units (Hours)
Robert B. Coulter, PE
This two-hour course provides a basic understanding of the DOJ's prototype methodology "Method to Assess the Vulnerability of U.S. Chemical Facilities". This course will explain the DOJ prototype methodology for assessing the risk to chemical facilities to terrorist or criminal attack. Facilities that must comply with EPA's chemical accident prevention provisions (40 CFR Part 68), OSHA's process safety management standard, or have chemicals onsite, that if released could cause harm to the public or environment, should consider doing a vulnerability assessment. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
