This course is a basic introduction for Overhead Bridge Cranes, intended to show the most important techniques for mechanical design procedures used to lift and move heavy materials inside a facility. There are dozens of types and models of Bridge Cranes, which are typically designed for vertical and horizontal carriage of pieces and equipment, depending on the location. There is no “one size fits all” approach to defining an overhead crane, as each overhead crane is care fully designed and engineered for a specific purpose or application to suit a business. Bridge cranes are designed for industrial applications for efficient and safe material handling.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
