Armin W. Stuedlein, Ph.D., PE
In this webinar, Dr. Armin W. Stuedlein, PE, will present his work on the cyclic resistance and potential for cyclic failure of low-plasticity transitional silt soils. These soils are often challenging to assess using available liquefaction case history- and in-situ penetration test-based methods. This lecture will provide an overview of findings regarding the cyclic behavior of transitional nonplastic and plastic silt soils and the corresponding models developed.
Keller North America provides a wide range of geotechnical engineering and construction services to improve soils in place and to both construct new and rehabilitate foundations. The techniques that will be discussed include Compaction & Jet Grouting, Earth Retention and Shoring, Vibro Compaction & Replacement, Micropiles, Soil Mixing for Deep Basement Excavations, and Pile Driving. Within our range of services, a Ground Modification solution is generally available for the toughest subsurface conditions.
