Management of Engineering Projects (The People)

Wayne Ashenfelter, PE

Are you the people manager you think you are? Do you regularly pat yourself on the back? Do you tell yourself how good you are? How do your employees feel about your leadership? If you are like me, you will find there is room for improvement. I trust you will find this easy to read, assimilate and a thought provoking course. This course is intended to give insights relative to engineering project management of people. It is written in a conversational style. The traditional formal technical writing has been abandoned to add interest while providing subject content. The addition of the non-linear effect of personnel and their responses require we understand and motivate them. The actual case studies provide a picture of how people think and react to you. This course explores the importance of our people and how to deal with them.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.

* This course is acceptable to all the state PE boards except the New York State PE & PLS Board.
