Ellen Huang, PE This course provides engineers and land surveyors with a practical, field-tested playbook for managing time, meetings, and multitasking in real project environments where priorities shift, coordination is constant, and quality expectations are high. Participants learn how to define outcomes and "done" before starting, prioritize work using impact, risk, urgency, and dependencies, and convert large assignments into clear next actions that are easy to execute and restart. The course also shows how to plan realistically with time blocks and buffers, protect deep work, manage interruptions, run meetings that produce decisions, and communicate efficiently without letting email and messaging consume the day. Finally, it provides 40 additional high-leverage tips—such as limiting work-in-progress, tracking "waiting for" items, setting decision deadlines, using reusable templates and default replies, and running quick retrospectives—so learners finish with a complete system they can apply immediately to deliver higher-quality work with less rework and stress. The course has a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials. NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public.
