Huang, Ph.D., PE As a professional engineer or a land surveyor, the licensee shall at all times recognize the primary obligation to protect the safety, health, property, and welfare of the public. The purpose of this course is to help you get familiar with the regulations for practicing engineering or land surveying in the state of New Mexico. At the conclusion of this course, the student will have a better understanding of the rules of professional conduct, continuing education requirements, and other regulatory provisions contained in the New Mexico Engineering and Surveying Practice Act (the Board Laws) and the New Mexico Administrative Code (the Board Rules). This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials. This course is designed to help an NM licensee meet the new ethics training for license renewal. * Note: This course cannot be used to satisfy other states’ PDH requirement in their Board Laws & Rules. NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website. |
