This two-hour online course discusses the different types of metal deterioration that can occur in structures and buildings. It is important to have an understanding of the potential for the deterioration of metals so that proper precautions can be taken during the design and detailing of the metal components of a facility. This course will enable a design professional to avoid situations that provide the most potential for the deterioration of metals and the subsequent corrosion of an otherwise usable structure or building component.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
