The content of this course covers stress, strain, mechanical properties of materials, axial loading, torsion, bending, deflection, and column stability with the emphasis on the basic concepts and real-world applications. The course content is based entirely on the textbook Mechanics of Materials by Beer, Johnson, Dewolf and Mazurek or equivalent. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
