Microsoft Excel is a powerful spreadsheet application tool for civil and structural engineers who need to analyze data and perform calculations. In this course, you will learn the primary features of Excel, including navigating the spreadsheet, writing formulae, using functions, working with files, taking advantage of shortcuts, assigning names, and customizing Excel. An analysis and design workbook based on International Building Code 2012 is provided as a detailed example for your study. Through this course, you will be able to create easily readable spreadsheets to help you organize your data and prevent errors effectively. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website.
