Outdoor substation structures must remain strong, stable, and operational while carrying a combination of environmental, equipment, conductor, seismic, and short-circuit actions. This four-hour online course gives practicing engineers a clear workflow for turning those actions into defensible structural models, load combinations, member and foundation reactions, and equipment-interface checks. Practical examples show how wind, terminal force, wire tension, deflection, support stiffness, dynamic response, and rigid-bus interaction affect real design decisions.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
