Roofing Solutions (Part Three)

Course Outline

This is the third and last part of this course on the matter of the roofing art. In this part we have described the pros and cons of the metal roofs. Space has also been devoted to concrete roofs. Separate chapters have been dedicated to two important topics, the first one is why as desirable as trees are to provide shade, they must also be kept under control to prevent the detrimental effect of leaves and limbs over any given roof. The second chapter deals with the topic of roof repairs and how to locate those undesirable leaks before any repair could be done.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.

Course Summary

In Parts I and II of this course we presented the roofs classified by geometry and function. In this Part III on the other hand, we have followed a sequence defined by materials, in such a way that the reader can appreciate both approaches and be prepared to provide an opinion and a solution well adjusted to the circumstances.
