Concepts and Options for Determining Energy and Water Savings (M&V Protocol)
George E. Thomas, PE
Course Outline
The purpose of
this course is to familiarize Energy Engineers with various best practice techniques
available for determining and verifying results of energy efficiency, water
efficiency, and renewable energy efficiency. Energy conservation measures covered
herein include fuel saving measures, water efficiency measures, load shifting
and energy reductions through installation or retrofit of equipment, and/or
modification of operating procedures. The information in this course is written
for the individual who is knowledgeable in basic engineering to provide guidance
on energy use, energy costs and savings magnitude, various energy technology-specific
requirements, and risk.
This course includes
a multiple choice quiz at the end,
Learning Objective
This course will review the following topics to include basic energy and water savings concepts and options.
Intended Audience
This course would be of interest to Facility Engineers, Environmental Engineers, Energy Managers, Energy Services Contractors, and Energy Consultants.
