Course Introduction

As manufacturing companies strive to remain competitive, continuous improvements in efficiency has become an on going goal. The manufacturing environment we live in has pushed companies onto a constant search for improved production methods and better management philosophy. As these companies define their mission, the objectives filter through the organization and place demands on the various departments associated with production.  The requirements for better efficiency become the charter for each of the departments who have a hand in developing, building, and shipping products. Better co-ordination across multi department functions is essential. One strategy for meeting this demand is to revert back to the basics of your bill of material. This course offers an introduction to bill of material methods and also some more advanced methods for improving efficiency.
