ADA Compliance: What You Need to Know
Course Outline
Almost everyone will experience disabilities at some point during his/her life. This course is designed to provide you with a basic understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA) and the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 (ADAAA). Besides the history of ADA, you will learn what constitutes a disability, who is a qualified individual with a disability, and what might be reasonable accommodations for a disabled individual. In addition, you will become familiar with the seven principles of Universal Design and learn how to apply them to meet the ADA requirements for commercial facilities and public buildings.
