This three-hour online course is only an introduction to one of the most important aspects of Ventilation installations tailored for beginners, students, technicians, engineers, contractors and professionals interested in sizing Fans and Blowers.

Learning Objective
At the conclusion of this course, the student will:
- Understand the formulae and parameters used in the ASHRAE/ACGHI or CAGI Standards as authority on ventilation mechanical design;
- Understand the formulae and parameters used for Fans and Blowers to determine the minimum required air flow process;
- Understand the common terms used for dimensioning ducts, air tanks, driers, filters and air piping inside power plants;
- Be able to learn and recognize air density, altitude, relative humidity, air pressure and other technical terms;
- Know the basic comprehension of the terms used in thermodynamics calculations and remember the main technical concepts;
- Be able of converting metric and imperial unities used in Ventilation calculations;
- Learn the meaning of design equations, Loss Factors and Coefficients of Entry;
- Know the fan basic characteristics, arrangements and standard driving positions; and
- Understand the basic application of hood types, bag filters and pneumatic conveying.

This course is intended for students, designers, mechanical engineers and professionals interested or working with HVAC, Process Plants and Piping.
