This 2-hour online course discusses the basic factors every engineer should know about aluminum alloys, their basic properties and heat treatment. To fully understand aluminum, it is advisable to become acquainted with the aluminum identification / designation system, the many aluminum alloys available and their characteristics. This course will enable the engineers to become familiar with the various alloy designation systems, their heat treatments, understand the metallurgical changes that occur during heat treating, and the common applications for the various grades.
This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
