Mr. Semih Genculu, P.E. holds a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MS degree in Materials Engineering. He is currently the Vice President of an independent testing laboratory and consulting engineering firm. Mr. Genculu's areas of expertise include failure analysis, mechanical testing, metallography, fractography, welding, heat-treating and corrosion. He also conducts forensic failure investigations and serves as an expert witness on product liability cases. Mr. Genculu is a registered professional engineer, and is a member of several engineering societies including ASM International, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, National Association of Corrosion Engineers and National Association of Professional Engineers. During his five-year tenure on ASTM Fastener Committees Mr. Genculu developed test and material standards. He has published numerous articles and coauthored a chapter in a book on Forensic Analysis.
